    University Chancellor Michael A. McRobbie remembered the life of the late J. Michael Dunn, founding dean and professor of informatics and computer science at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering, and a professor of philosophy in the College of Arts and Sciences. Dunn, who served IU for more than a half century as a faculty member, researcher and administrator, had an enormous early impact on building IU's current standing as a leader in the use of information technology to advance the university's teaching and research missions.
